Don is primarily a salt water guy and his boat reflects that. But he has a GREAT setup rigged for Crappie. Side scan sonar, two seats up front and rod holders for 10 rods out front. He recently upgraded to a computerized trolling motor that is the Bees Knees. Holds a set course, will follow contour lines, has cruise control to maintain a set speed, will troll from one waypoint to another... trolling motor is smarter than us. We could be a comedy act trying to figure out all the options on the hand held controller. Ain't technology great?

Crescent is definitely making a come back compared to the past 2 years. We did good New Years weekend.

There is definitely a lot of pressure on Crescent, but Lake George has some bigguns in it and has been doing good for years. It's just not as "publicized" as much as Crescent. And its only about 15 minutes from Crescent. Like someone mentioned earlier, the old Bombing Range on Lake George has been known for years as a good place to fish. I fished it for the first time last week and I'll definitely be going back!!

Fished Crescent, actually Dead lake, yesterday.

caught around 70 but it was actually pretty slow between bites and we had to work for them covering a lot of ground. A couple weren't bad size. 2 or 3 2 pounders and one that went 2 pounds 9 ounces. Most were tossers though.

Had one really funny moment with one of the little guys that must have been REALLY hungry. He hit two poles at the same time. Don thought he had just gotten tangled up until we saw what happened. Little fellow hit one jig then the other, bam, bam. We gave him "A+" for effort and tossed him back in.

Savage fish. Guess he liked a white twisters tail and chartreuse jigs. Can't believe Tom posted the picture of me with this little fish.

    Tight lines, Don
