    Default Talquin Update

The calm weather has really turned the Crappie on. Most have moved closer tto the channel and the majority of fishermen\women have been trolling close to the channel from Polk Creek down past Bell Lake. There was a good catch reported from the Iron Curtain and close to the Dam. I saw the fish from Stoutmire Creek and they were "good fish". Been here for 23 Days and now it's time to go see the grandkids. Rusty at Lake Talquin Lodge usually keeps up with where the fish "were biting yesterday".

The secret with the cooler weather was getting down to where the fish were located. Used lead and trolled around 1 mph until hit the channel. Donated a few hooks to the stumps.......Caight my first fish over 2 lbs yesterday.....Good Luck if you come this way.

    Default Talquin

Thanks for the Info. I and a couple of friends will be coming to Talquin on November 15th. for a week. I will be staying at the Talquin Lodge. This is my first time, and I am really looking forward to it. I normally fish Kentucky Lake. I hope the fish are still biting when I get there, and you didn't catch them all.

There is a chance that I will be down that weekend. Just look for the boat that has "office chairs" for boat seats. I need to do some work on my camper before Thanksgiving, so maybe I'll see you down there. You'll enjoy your stay at the Lodge...Really nice folks!!!

I will probably be down there that week........Plan on going 12 Nov and stay until the Thanksgiving rush..............The fish should be biting somewhere on the lake.

Save me a cup of coffee...I'll be down there Friday afternoon late, but probably just for the weekend. I heard that the front that went thru slowed them down a little, but maybe it will pick up by this weekend.
