Brentalous- appreciate your insightful response, however, my piscatorial pursuits/posts extend heavily into the much more diverse Brine-arena as well. The real reason I pursued this topic was the fact that RED is the 1st (longest wavelength) color to absorb the light-wave refraction gradient, becoming invisible before the rest of the color-spectrum with ultra-violet being the last to disappear. Also, a newly discovered spool of 15 lb. CAJUN RED added to my curiosity. As Paul Harvey used to say "Now you know the rest of the story"! Maybe, he should have tried your more catchy verbage "Now you know the rest of the freaking deal!
