Here's the deal. For speck fishing it really doesn't freaking matter. Flouro is invisible in the water and stronger. Mono has some sheen to it underwater but has more "give". If you're fishing open water, I doubt it matters much. If you're fishing heavy cover, I'd say roll with flouro. To each their own, though.
