I was told that the rear seat rods aren’t the same blank as the regular handle. They are made as light as possible to reduce the weight and because of that they don’t take the loading up generated when we cast a long rod. Made for dipping and underhanded pitching. I will say that i punish mine more than I should and haven’t had any issues in the 2 years I’ve had it. It does a good job keeping those bigger fish coming my way when I pitch into someplace I shouldn’t.
