If using as a sole purpose of a vertical jig rod, get a bottom reel seat. Makes a huge difference in my opinion. The one I just bought replaced a BPS Crappie Max Pro that didn't have bottom reel seat. And them lol tiny BnM reels are the ticket. Can swing em all day no problem.
