Don and I hit George's Lake again yesterday. Fished early morning to lunchtime and caught a dozen or so worth claiming. The larger fish were spotty though, and in deep water (18 to 20 feet). We found some HUGE schools of smaller fish though, hanging over our usual structure. Nice to be able to say "stand by to hit the mark... mark!" And two or three poles go down.
Saw a couple of guys slow trolling minnows and they said they were not doing well. Some days you get the bear, some days the bear gets you.

This isn't Don but he and I are the guys fishing George's Lake.
Please be aware we are not referring to LAKE George, but to GEORGE'S Lake. Two different places. Confusing, I know, but there you are. We didn't name'em.
In case you do know we are at George's Lake, there is only one ramp. Located, oddly enough, at the end of Boat Ramp Road, Florahome, FL.

Tom is your best bet for directions as he has been pulling his boat. We have a little concern about getting my 22" bay boat launched there. there isn't a lot of room behind the trailer and the bank behind the boat to back off and would have to make a tight 90 degree turn to get on the trailer. There is no dock just a 3 foot steep bank I nose his pontoon into for him to get on. I have seen bass boats there so it is possible to get on and off from the bank. I just have to much on the bow with 3 sounders and two tall rod holders. Don
I don't mind sharing where I caught my fish.
Most was caught in their mouth.
