The simple answer is yes. All of these hold fish but not all hold fish. Sometimes they will be near but not directly in or on. If I approach a tree laid down I will come from downwind or down current side and slowly work my way in and shallower as I approach and work my way around to the current or wind driven side. If the rootball is in the water do not over look it as there is usually a deep hole that breaks current at the base of the rootball. Weed lines are tougher to fish as there is miles and miles of it on the river, I look for holes or something different in the weedline. Andy is the best I have watched on the river and will give you a dose of humility if you fish with him or near him. Leave your trolling gear at home and take a few rods for single poling for several trips to learn, otherwise you will give in and start trolling. I take 3 rods with me when I go, a long rod for dipping weeds and deep in the trees, and 2 others one with just a jighead and tube and the other with a tiny float and jighead with tube. Watch your line. Hope this helps ya. If you have a specific question shoot me a pm I will try and answer for ya.
