Thread: Starting to enjoy the river.

    Cold weather/cooler water is best for me. A good current will help stack them up on structure too. Keep trying, some days you spank the fish and some days the river will spank you. The whole river looks fishy and it can be overwhelming at first. Not all spots hold fish but some always have a few even on the toughest days. Also the fish will hold on certain spots on the structure (spot on the spot) find the better areas and create a "milk run" When the spawn is on it's good all over and makes me think I know what I'm doing, then reality will set in and bring me back to earth.
    Going shrimpin tonight river fishing has slowed down.
