So we decide to leave the dogs inside the house. We don't need to have four footed snacks (Boston Terriers) running around enticing them any more than we have to.
But,the old one, Ringo, has to pee more than I do! Must have similar issues! lol So I let him out just to take care of that issue. He runs toward Sharon, who's already at the sea wall, and you can guess what happens next. Splash.
Sharon screams, and my reflex is to jump in behind the old dog. I grab him, and toss him on top the sea wall.
OK, so everything is cool. Well, maybe not! I'm still in the water. Wifey screams again, alligator, alligator, get out, get out!!!!! WAIT, WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Now mind you, the alligator I spoke of earlier often comes rather quickly to my sea wall when there is any sort commotion. I clean the weeds up off my sea wall up by throwing out a light anchor and dragging it back in, to keep casting paths open. The weeds grow fast this time of the year, you have to do this or you can't cast. That darn alligator comes right up to me standing on my sea wall all the time. It don't care (I'm guessing someone in the neighborhood is feeding it, that's a big no no). Heck I've even inadvertently hit it while throwing my anchor out. It just don't care.
What wifey seen was bubbles coming up in the canal, heading right towards me. As many of you know, with a muck/sand bottom, that does mean something big is on it's way in! Naturally I freak out, trying to get onto my sea wall, and I can't get up onto it. doh
ButI eventually do get onto the sea wall, and as it turns out it was a large turtle kicking up the bubbles. Turtles too come to my sea wall when they see us. Stuff here is just too friendly!
The sad part was, I had my phone in my pocket when I jumped in the canal. It's sitting in a baggie with dried rice right now! Wish me luck.
