Maybe I missed it. Did you have a Tracker deep V?

    Default My New Ride

The tracker deep v was a perfectly fine boat. Did not have one issue with boat, motor, or trailer. It just didn't suit me personally. I've been wanting to go glass for a couple years now and I really look forward to fishing out of it. I think with the 36v trolling motor and the weight, gonna notice a big difference on the windy days.

I cleaned and serviced the brake system this weekend and eliminated the jerking on the coupler. I'm having a blast working on it.

The biggest project will be tackling the exterior next..gonna take a lot of elbow grease to restore the shine.

Looks like your homework was to the good..............Very nice looking machine
Knowing you - it won't take long to get her ready to go by your standards..
Rod holders - I like the Tite-loc's up front with 24" bar - can add 5 holder when needed.
Spider Loc's on rear -have found work quite well - Astor Bait & Tackle will work with you on good price
Again good lookin rig Nate. AND IT FITS IN GARAGE, YIPPEE

Yeah, I'm limited on where I can fish on windy days. When the truck gets paid off then...
I'm sure it's gonna look good when you are done. Enjoy!

Excellent boat, Congrats. The boat I have now was quite a thrill when I brought it home and began to learn about "big boy boats". Mine was a garage queen also and still has the original interior, and it's an '88. I wish you many happy trips, it's nice having the range to go where you like.

Ok so we got out for a quick ride this morning before the storms rolled in.

I need a jack plate education please...

Got a 6" hydraulic bobs on this Yamaha 150 4-stroke. Unfortunately the guy I bought it from had just fueled it up, 38 gallon tank. That plus 4 batteries, full live wells and two of us, this pig is back heavy. Very sluggish out of the hole. However once on plane darn thing was flying smooth.

No idea where I should set my jack plate. Also the prop doesn't look to be in great shape. It's a 21 pitch 3 blade SS. I'm thinking I will eventually want to switch to a 4 blade but honestly I'm not savvy with props and have never changed one.

have you moved it yourself - up or down ?

Most generally there should be a mark on plate - as to balance point.

Get with Darryl Cole or George Parker both have jack plates on the "big O's" but wih the Johnson engines they have to raise(engines)
them when comming into load - however these guys , should be able to give you needed relief
Please PM me for their numbers- I do not use mine (hydrallic pump not in it) to load or unload as
i have a merc engine and overhang is different than Johnson
