It is a little drive for me, but fished it last year. It's kinda like (3) lakes in (1), the long section you see from Rt. 27 is about 6-8 ft w/ some piling poles in the south end, pads on shoreline, good bass area. The middle section has holes 25+ft, & the far east section has very deep holes as well, but shoreline is very developed, some nice homes that have private white sandy beaches & there is even a college, I never expected to see that when like you I only seen it driving from Rt. 27. The middle section south end is where I launched from Bob's Landing I believe it was called $5 w/ drop box if there early, was safe parking.
There might be a public launch on the north side of long section off 27, but don't know for sure. When I went is was March & did ok with the specks, but remember when returning to boat ramp, seeing all the locals w/boats in slips had nite lights set-up's for specks. Somebody can correct me if wrong, but also think it is a spring feed lake.
