Are you planning on fishing Crooked or Arbuckle ?
Walk -in-Water also an excellant lake in the area.

7 mi east of Lake Wales on hwy 60, turn right at Walk in Water road - go 7 miles
south -(you go through 5 curves) before you cross Creek bridge, entrance to
Walk-In-Water will be on your left (only direction you can turn)
This is also an excellant lake for Crappie - Bass - Blue-gill & Shellies
Excellant quality filets. Really nice eating healthy fish.

Walk-in-Water has 5 brush pile attractors on it, all marked with bouys, most
generally occupied by big gar & hugh mud fish as well as bass. To south of
ramp - is 80 - 100 cove, excellant bluegill hang out.. as well as all along south
wall of lake around to big wood dock on east side.

This lake can be fished several ways - spider - long-lining - bobber - drift

Once used crank baits on it - took 117 fish in one pass from ramp to east
side. ( various size crappie - ) Crazy day of fun............
