I use a Columbia cap with the tuck away neck covering. I also use a Columbia neck gaiter or hoorag to protect the face. A cooling towel is a must mine is made by Frogg Toggs. Also plan trips from daylight til 10 or so and just 3 hours before dark. No reason to fish in the middle of day. Bites are usually slow with the bright bluebird days and clear water. Night time can be great too. Bugs can get you at night without proper precautions.
