After 5 weeks of waiting, I finally got my boat back in the driveway Friday and it is loaded and ready to go get some fish slime on it!!

I had to replace a few things and my auto bilge pump was one of those things. I had just put a new one in the boat in September. After the incident at Crescent, I discovered it wasn't working so I replaced it today. A small piece on insulation from a wire that I had stripped had got up into the impeller and caused the impeller to become locked in place and that is what burned the motor up.

Is that what caused the boat to sink??? I'll never know but it sure didn't help things out any. That's something to watch out for when you are doing any work in your boats in the future. Some things you just can't control, but I could have prevented that small piece of wire insulation from being in my boat by cleaning up after myself....Live and learn...Now lets go fishing!!!
