    Default Lake Griffin Crappie

Fished Lake Griffin for the first time in 3 or 4 years this evening. I took my dad and daughter and we were plenty busy. I lost track after 50. My 6 year old caught 30 and we were constantly snatching those little buggers out of the water. Almost all fish were small(under 10") and caught on minnows. We also fished here on Sunday and easily caught 100 with similar sized fish. Maybe Griffin will be back in a year or two. Even though biggest crappie today was 13", we had a nice time.

Very cool. The ten inch limit is really gonna help. Even the water quality is getting better. Not pea soup any more.

Glad to see you out there and fishing with your daughter and father. Sounds like a good time especially for you 6 year old. Thanks for sharing Luke.

LOL Jeff! These were very small specks and we only returned to get my daughter on the action.
The crappie switch turned on around 6:30 - 8 p.m. They seemed to bite anywhere and everywhere.
