Actually a real nice guy. Let me off with a warning for not having any life jackets.

Just kidding. He checked us for safety equipment and yay, we passed.

That is not who I saw on Griffin today. The two Gentlemen were in a boat with GREEN Graphics. FWC fellers.
At the time my live well was empty. They inquired about my catch, but I did not have anything for them to measure up. Ended the day with three in the well and released 10 all 10 inches and under.
Saw plenty of boats at the end of the canal coming from Herlong Park.

Dang, I didn't know you were out there. Otherwise I woulda shown you were Shu catches them all!

Two "checkers" on the water on Griffin. Wow, I've never seen one in three years here. I've only seen the conservation guys taking surveys on how many we caught. And years past the number was always somewhere around one!

I've been catching and releasing forever. I got no one in the family except me that eats fish. In fact, wifey used to say, I could go fishing as long as I did not bring any of them stinky fish home. The only reason I've been keeping a few lately is the in-laws are staying with us, and Mom-in-law makes some mean crappie fillets.

How things change. Now wifey fishes from our sea wall and feeds Harry the Heron the small gills she catches, and she does it all by herself. It's shocked me. Never thought I'd see the day. Really, living on the water puts you very in touch with nature. We're loving it. Never gonna live away from the water again, I guarantee.
