Box & decal on box should say something like this:

    1,000 Terrova 80/US2-60" w/i-Pilot

I have both hand-held remote and foot control unit
Can do everything except follow a contour navonics.
He wasn't wanting the I-Pilot, just Auto Pilot. His foot pedal was Auto Pilot equipped (or compatible for AP) but he didn't have the Auto Pilot in the head.

I have a Riptide 70 ap with the co-pilot. Didn't have the change to get the I-pilot at the time, and wish I had it now. I like the AP for trolling and slow rolling down a bank while casting. The AP keeps me fishing and not controlling. In the wind when fishing a brushpile I use it to keep the motor headed into the wind, saving the time to turn back into the windonce hitting the pedal. Having come from a first gen pd motor I like the features, maybe it'll go away one day and a terrova I-pilot will take it's place.

If someone said 'You can fish with all your poles but got to use the old foot-control trolling motor, "OR" you can keep your I-pilot with hand-held remote but only use two poles I would reply "Leave me 2 poles please!" Best money I ever spent!

    Default First trip

Took my new terrova for a practice run this afternoon.
The manual items were fairly easy to catch onto. The problem I had with Advanced auto pilot was that in cross wind it kept gradually turning to the right, instead of maintaining the heading I had set. Any one experienced this , or am I doing something wrong, or is motor not performing properly. Auto pilot seemed to work better and I thought it was supposed to be the opposite.

The GPS needs to know your heading. You can't just point the boat in a direction and expect the motor to maintain that heading.
You should travel in a given direction for maybe one min. then depress the autopilot button.
Refer to page 50 - 55 in your I-PILOT owners manual.

That's just the opposite of how a Power Drive V2 works. But the PD doesn't work with GPS like the Terrova. Glad you pointed that out, John......I never read instructions or owner's manuals

Blindhog did get his issue fixed. The foot pedal had capabilities for Auto Pilot but the motor he bought didn't come equipped with AP. BPS took it back and he went with a 80# thrust Rip Tide with I-Pilot.
