Welcome to Florida.................
Welcome..........
Welcome! Lots of options from there. Tons of solid speck-producing lakes around: Hatchineha, Kissimmee, Arbuckle, Rosalie, Walk-in-Water, Teneroc, Clermont Chain, Johns Lake, Toho....all less than a 45 minute commute! As for bait tips, I'm a fan of sliders and kalins curly tails. Almost always colored with chartreuse in the lakes I mentioned, however my best colors have been john deere, acid rain, and blk/blu/chart on a RR jighead. Depending on season, minnow-tipped or crappie nibbles mostly. I'm a dedicated longliner from the boat, but have been experimenting with other methods from the kayak.
Unfortunately, well actually quite fortunately, I went through a job change recently so been outta the routine since spring now.
Best of luck! Post pix! This is a great community!!
