Default Night fishing Lake Tarpon, August 18th

August 18th, Anderson Park, Lake Tarpon

    Buddy Dobston / myself

Weather will play big part in 3rd trip
to Lake Tarpon for night fishing.

First trip - New Moon July 28th

Sec trip - Full Moon August 10th

3rd will be x-number of days after full
    moon and before new moon.

This should give us pretty good feel
of optium night fishing ....Will use same
location, time, settings as prior two trips.

Be interesting to see the difference. Surprised your not anchoring both ends solid. If boat is swinging in breeze, wouldnt it be harder to get a cloud of zooplankton to start thd foodchain?

Dave, would like to be at Anderson Park by 7:30pm to get ready..........
Going to check with Bill Bercaw, Henry Franks & Sid Horton to see if they want to
    get involved - maybe could have 5 - 6 teams ....

Surprising with breeze, boat moves slowly - and if it is set correctly - whereby, we can
cover flat - drop and possible edge of weed bed or brush pile - things can really get
interesting involving so many variables in 18 ft circle....some of the biggest problems to
date are recording whats going on - temp-bara pressure-wind-various depth-count-size, what time and number of hits in any given period
which rods in vs out rods - how minow hooked (lips-dorsel fin-tail) looks like a play sheet for pro football game

Well started around 7pm and fished till 11:00pm. Bugs were out in force and my bite was slow. Caught 5 and released to be caught another day. Could not stay out as late as rest, I have to work. But any time I get to fish is a good time. I know Harold had 5 or6 and the other guys had 3or4 . Will wait and see what Harold post as finnal tally.

What kind of light set up are you using if any? I've never tried night fishing but it would give me a lot more fishing time that's for sure!If you don't mind if you could post a few pics of your boat and how it's set up?It would help.
