Mike, Have never tried Grass Shrimp night fishing. Have used them on some lakes daytime
Tournament fishing and got some good results, along with overwhelming results from Bluegill population.
Most bait shops do not carry Grass Shimp and i have not really gone looking for little
devils due to Alligator population in some canals and impoundments around here.
But need to get serious on this thought and try them.
Once again, noticed big population of small bait fish on surface, could be from Full
Moon Hatch( believe it is 3 days to hatch from time eggs are laid)
Also asked about the use of Green Lights -(have tried them at water level and on
floaters - did not see any signifiant difference)
Have used regular spot lights (125 watt) very hot - will burn carpet - no difference
when using 90 -120 cool floods that are much easier to handle and put away.
Have experimented with 250 holygen lamps above boat and at water level.. Good
above boat to see whats going on, easy to move around boat - retie etc)
When by water level - again got to handle accordingly as use of Generator pumping
110 volts to these can get dangerous if they fall into water or wave washes over side.

Everything we learned or thought we knew fishing above Florida state line -
can be thrown out the window and start over when you come south............

Didn't matter whether it was daytime or night - everything is different down here.
Been here 20 yrs plus and still learn someting new every time out...............

Would not trade it for the world...........every day is Saturday down here.........
Can enjoy weather year round. regardless of temp, sun, rain, you name it, as it will
change in 20 minutes........just be patient.
Salt water fishing is totally different than most of us experienced up North. Freshwater
fishing is so much different........ what worked up your area - "forget it" thats why you
don't see any video's of Crappie Pros working Florida lakes...............no pattern to
what you are used to ....

WHAT????? Ya mean all lakes dont have a max depth of 9' and a bottom shaped like a dinner plate? You just nailed it Harold. Very different here for sure, but in some cases exactly the same just wrapped differently.

    Have fished
water so stained that 1 1/2 - 2 ft down you lose sight of the jig. I once fished a lake that
was so stained that i lost complete site of Spec's in live well.........and they were
    2 lb plus spec's.............

Could not believe it.................Yelim also fished that lake same day and could
only find fish in well by feel.
