Was out fishing Lake Talquin this morning. Caught 4 nice crappie over 12". Seemed to be scattered. Could not locate the fish we saw two days ago. Looked to the west and saw a lot of rain coming and decided to pull my rods and head to the barn. All at once my 10' rod doubled, thought at first I had snagged a stump, only when I picked up the rod, the line was moving side ways. Pulled good, first I thought I had a wipe (striper), then a large mouth came to the surface. I couldn't hardly wait for Miss Pat, Lake Talquin Lodge, to see my trophy.
MERRY CHRISTMAS this crappie topped the scales at 2 lb 5 oz.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
