Thats the idea behind the fruitjars. Lots of places have been requested in past but no facilities for an event. Everyone seems to have lots of ideas and suggestions during the fall and winter but nobody is speaking up now. Go figure.

Any thoughts about our October Slabfest? What about the 12th? They Monroe bite should be on fire and the Talquin Slabfest is November 9th.
12th :ThumbsUp
Discussion was also about the POINTS RACE. Idea expressed -- Have Six ( 6) scheduled events and only using Five (5) for the total. Each entrant will have the capability to discard one event, weather due to a no show or poor performance.
I just noticed that if we use 6 events that means the Monroe classic would have to be a points race event which has not been in the past.
Here's the deal..................I don't want to be the one to make these decisions. I've never been elected or appointed or given any responsibility by the members. I kinda just took it on myself to make a schedule last year and made a bunch of decisions that I'm not sure everyone agrees with. In addtion, I also have the been keeping the funds for the last two years. After each slabfest I total the donations and expenses and keep all of this on a exl spreadsheet. I then email a copy of the spreadsheet to flycaster. At present we have a total of $275.00 in our fund. Again, It's just one of the things I started doing on my own and I'm not sure everyone agrees with how this is being handled. We have a moderator.....but do we need to establish some other kind of organizational structure? Any thoughts??
I like the idea of a schedule for slabfests and slabtogethers etc. I also am looking forward to the points race. At this point I don't know how this is come together.
