Thanks Speckanator, I try not to think to hard, it really hurts sometimes..LOL, but you've hit the nail on the head TNT, those 3 lakes in itself, if fortunate to place near the top should have you in the running & kinda expand this thing statewide & hopefully bunch up the leader board with more options for everyone. Also Astor & Harney make for very good wildcards.
Im not putting to much concern into the points aspect. I prefer the same frame of mind that got me involved in the first place. Attending as many as I can manage, enjoy the storys, enjoy the company, and have a chance to see some distant friends.
Mike and John 100% as long as they both may choose to get involved. My reality in life just will not afford me the time to get any more involved then $ support I try to provide. I hope one day to be in a position to do more........ but right now its just not possible for me. Knowing these gents is enough for me to feel 100% trust in anything they are involved with.
I do feel a little lucky and blessed to be around guys that do things that in the end is for my enjoyment, at their sacrifice.............................. in the military, these kind of folks are often referred to as hero's, and deserve our respect.
Cant please all the people all the time..............but sure as the sun rises we are in good hands looking forward.
Gosh, this Crapslabstu sure seems like a nice guy? Anyway, I was going to say the same thing...Thx for saying it for me Stu. hehehehehe.
We are still awaiting for more input.
SUGGESTION: maybe November 16th Clermont chain, Lake Yale, Lake Jessup, Lake Woodruff etc.
Anyone familiar with any of these lakes and would step forward to "SPONSOR" a event on November 16, 2013. You would not be required to have any monetary out of pocket expense, of which would not be reimbursed. You would be expected to secure a location in which we could safely launch and retrieve our boats and park our vehicles. We will not require a place to cook.
On the schedule we show slabfest and fishing event dates and locations. The slabfest locations are picked for a reason, facilities etc. but the fishing event locations can be changed or announced with little notice. Maybe we could publish the schedule and indicate to be announced on the November event if nobody has any suggestions now. All those Lakes sound good and I've only fished one of them.
The Clermont chain is still suffering from low water levels. At least the entry to Louisa is very low (sand pushed into the mouth while the levels were super low) and I doubt most boats can get through. ( I usually have to get out of the boat and drag it over the sand bar). Minneola is packed on the weekends with pleasure boaters etc. The ramp on the northwest side of the chain (Arnold Brother Park) isn't too bad, just a bit narrow launching into a canal, but access to Lucy, Emma, Stewart, and maybe Hunt is possible pending the boat.
ActivistAngler - Journal - Florida's Clermont Chain of Lakes Is Drying*Up
Very hard to believe after all the rain this year..........the chain is still screaming for water
Just a suggestion but if there was ever a cant miss, guaranteed to put fish in the boat and have a good time lake, I would highly suggest that Loochloosa be considered as a possible location.
