Default Dead River on Harris Chain Report

Well due to nasty winds and cooling temps I had the grand idea of fishing yesterday afternoon. Thinking today was out of the picture because of the front that moved in over the night I fished the dead river down towards the Harris entrance. Actually, I caught 3 decent slabs within an hour and decided I couldn't bear the wind anymore so I called it a day. I figured the fish would of been out in deep water...but nonetheless was happy! Hope every one is doing well!

Great report. Thx for sharing. We don't get many reports from the Dead River.

We have a newer older member I joined up that has had a winter home on the dead river for 40 years. When I get anything worthwhile from him I will post it for him in regard to the Dead River if there is an on going interest. His CC name is Crappieduster' but he does not do computers. He and his wife attended a slabfest last year with me and he was my fishing partner on the day of The Big Wind On Harris. Lol

In years past when you crossed the 441 bridge you would see many
boats in the pads in Dead River. Hardly any boats observed this year.
    That probably indicates poor catching.

Yeah those pads are highly over fished! There are still some spots though where you can pull'em out. Whenever I get a break from the thing called work I like fishing the Harris side of the river. I've been successful around there.
