I sure didn't mean to start all this, but it did give people something to talk about since they aint much fishin' goin' on. But I won't be posting no more pic of big fish over 2 lbs anymore...They might put me in the same category as that Trapper feller and hang me in November!!

NOPE!!! If that gator had been caught by someone with drawn tags and hunted by state guidelines I would have no problem. A nuisance trapper going out when it is to his advantage just before the gator season, where someone probably has drawn a hunt and is scouting to get a trophy, and poaching him out from under another is where I have a problem. And as long as the fish are ones you caught and your not robbing Rawhides livewell like ya been doing all is good.

Ok don't want to start a battle with anyone but I have to stand up for the trapper because I am one. He has a job that pays only on kills & his family gets hungry too, & If I had the chance to tag that beast I'd choot it in a heartbeat - especially if I had the tags & was going to make some money on it. The reason places aren't opened up to the public instead of trappers is because of the idiots it would attract. We are licensed, insured, responsible trappers that have to follow guidelines & use specific equipment. All of this costs money so money is to be made, we are subject to inspection & can get the same fines if rules aren't followed properly as the public. There is no special treatment just access to places where animals are causing a problem. I have been an avid outdoorsman my whole life & respect it very much, I don't like to see animals eliminated for no reason especially when it is usually a humans fault. With the growth we have now animal control has to be done, overpopulation of humans decreases wildlife.

He is a lobbiest and I doubt his family relies on that for pay as they are usually very well funded people from the corporations and special interest groups they represent.

Yes you are right & I don't know this trapper personally so it's hard to say. I just wanted to defend trappers in general like me that do have families that depend on the extra income. Just my
