Default One less gator at Talquin!!

A friend of mine at Lake Talquin Lodge posted these pic on Facebook Sunday night. This gator was killed by a "Nuisance Gator Trapper" somewhere around the Rocky Creek area. They just happened to be down at the boat landing when the trapper pulled in with the gator. This gator is 14 ft long!!!

Dangit man! Another reason I don't wade fish! Chootm Lizbeth!!! Like to see those Swamp People hand line that one and roll him in the boat. That one has been around for many a moon to grow that big.

Hate to see the BIG ones killed but I know there are plenty more to take their place. There was one like that in the St. Johns just east of the 17-92 bridge. He had been there for years and was always a site to see when he would lay up on the bank. About 6 or 7 years ago when they opened the season he was the first to go. Big write up in the news about how big he was etc.
