Yeah till they blast through the creek and swamp my boat and tangle my lines! Sorry but the only thing worse than jet skis is some guy with a big boat in a small creek that has more money than brains!

I just got back home last night from 2 weeks in Astor. I always stay at Front street bait and tackle, good cabins and fresh bait. I caught fish from the first few minutes I put my lines in until the last minute before I pulled them. I caught a lot of specks in the 7" - 10" range so I put them back in to get bigger for next year. I also kept a total for the 2 weeks of 100 fish over 13". I had 9 fish over 2.2 pounds. I fished the river south of Astor, Lake Dexter and Lake Woodruff. It was the best trip I ever had down there. One note, I only pulled 1/32 and 1/16 oz jigs, never used minnows. .8 to 1.3 mph.
I also have to give some credit to the new Minnkota Tarrove trolling motor ( it is incredible in the wind with the I pilot ) I use a 12 volt set up with 2 batteries in parallel and I used it unmercifully for 9 hours a day and never ran out of power. And also the help that Bean gave me at Front Street Bait. If you are looking to go down I recommend staying with him. JC
