    Lake View Motel
1004 N Summit (main drag of town)

    386 698 - 1090

only one in town, very good for the money............

most of the FCC Tournament Fishermen stay there.
small resturant across street opens at 5:30am. pretty reasonable
    for breakfast.

For dinner, resturant down at City boat launch is good.

Rv - Leonards is ok, rest of them have no idea about...

Thanks 813, and thanks to everyone for their help on this. I plan on doing two things at Crescent: 1)catching a big ole crappie. 2)learning how to post pics on this site. Not sure which one I'm more excited about.

It is actually easier than ya think to post pics. Load em on photobucket and then put your pointer on the pic ya want to post and a dropdown box will appear and then click on the bottom box and you will see it says copied and then just paste into the post.

Ranger. Crescent is farily deep in spot. I was fishing the mouth of the canal that goes into dead lake and stayed in the 18ft range. Ended up with 32 keepers this morning

The wind was hard to get out of, most of the fish were caught going with the wind. Only one fish was over 15" caught alot of 13" fish.

Most of big fish are caught at North end of Lake.........
from bear island to shill hill point water is 12-14 ft average............

Dead Lake can canal is deep............down as far as 25 - 28 ft
Haw creek also empties in canal to lake - run 22 - 25' deep.
From outflow of canal to Bear Island -= 6 - 10ft..

Two ways to fish it..............Spider rig and/or long-ling.

Work the flats north of Island more towards middle..............

There is a motor home camp ground on the dead lake (south) end of Crescent. There use to be a store and a small resturant there but who knows now./fishfearpd
