Better yet, why don't they sign in to CDC and join the conversations and come to a slabfest? And I have been to several tournaments and talked with the so called pro's. Like I said a long line of B.S. Can't say I blame em though gotta save the tricks for your own hat. And thats exactly my point. They might share something with ya, but it will probably be far from the truth or missing a few links to the chain.

i am with CDC and i am involved with the conversations, also make comments and
assist new commers to crappie fishing.........help on lakes, locating fish and try to
make their fishing trips a memory. Was unable to attend the "slabfest" this year due
to tournament commitments but will make arrangements next year or later this year
    should there be any more................

These people are pros, true they will not become a brother /father to you and show
you everything........but will assist in your questions and give suggestions to help your
    fishing.
You will get a better reception from these people more so than people on the bass
    pro tournaments.................

813, they are pro's and I would not expect them to openly give their tactics. I wouldn't if I was in their shoes. Thats what I was getting at. I believe they will share some general knowledge but not specific to the point. Just like was stated before they were talking about fishing in other states. I could ramble on and on about fishin em in the spillway in Louisiana but it would not amount to a hill of beans when fishing here. And Bass Pro's or any other that fish or hunt for a living will not speak without being paid. And well, who can blame them, thats how they make their living. And of all of em I have met, I would rather not be around most of them. And to take their words on a podium as far as tactics and accept it as gosple, no chance.. I will keep to the likes of the people on here and continue having a good time and making new friends at every slabfest. And I am not on here looking for a brother/father to show me everything. In fact I very seldom ask technique specific questions as to me that crosses some lines with many people. Someone wants to openly post it, so be it, but I ain't askin. And I sure as heck ain't gonna spew out someones spot they showed me or a different technique. People work to hard to gain an edge or learn something new to post in a public forum.

Walk past their rigs, look at how they have them set up. These people, men & women

Well said Mike...........you put the time in and it will reward you in long run. What i have
learned over the years, helps when arriving at a new lake i have never fished. Look for
similarties this lake has to ones have fished, get a tofo map, use your GPS, pin-point
starting points, watch wind conditions day of arrival and down road few days. Watch
how it effects the lake. Time of year, etc, etc, etc. all of this is in every book you will
read, but until you take it from the book and put into action, record what was good, or
didn't work, etc... You will be watchin the birds, blue sky, watchin bobbers and telling
youself what a fun time your having fishing, how calm your mind is and no stress.
I'm done, off the soap box............

Huntinslabs is talkin about advice from PROS not people who fish in tournaments, there is a BIG diff. I have not seen a PRO on the Florida forum yet

Exactly!! I ain't talkin about some podunk club tournament that anyone that can drag, push or pull a hull and pay an entrance fee can fish. I am talking about the guys making a living fishing.

Sorry to bust your bubble but everyone of those PROS that fish for a living start in guess what???? podunk club tournaments!!! Oh yeah and by the way most CrappieUSA and CrappieMasters tournaments have amateur divisions and semi pro divisions where people pay their dues to the organization pay an entrance fee and fish.
