pontiac65, checked out durbin creek on my St. Johns River Hot Spots map and it is the uppermost part of Julington Creek. Heck most of Julington creek isn't deeper than 7 or 8'. Can't see where you would find a 20' hole in 3' of surrounding backwater where durbin sits? Am I missing something?

Speck-Tackle-Er, your map must not show far enough east because there are numerous 20 to 30 foot holes.PM me somtime if you can fish during the weekdays. Do not fish on weekends, leave that for the working man.

Hey 65pontiac, yes the map does stop just east of ramp at Clarke's. Water is only like 2 to 4' where map ends which is why I was so perplexed at the 20' depth beyond that point. That's amazing in that upper arm. That whole east side of the river down to Black Creek never hits 20'. Thanks for the offer. I'll see if I can make it soon. Those are some nice Crap's! Keep us posted.

You got any updates on Trout creek or Six Mile? Might take a run over there today or tomorrow. This Durbin Creek looks like it could pose a parking problem. As I remember, there is an open area with pads along the river at the mouths of Trout and Six Mile. In your experience, do you think they may stage around there for the spawn?
Fished trout and six mile last tues.&wed. Caught 17 in 2 days and not one keeper. The biggest was maybe 8". Fished durbin yesterday and had 8 keepers. Going to durbin again in the morning. Not sure about the pads right at the mouths but further up creek they do stage.
