I think there are sturgeons in the Arkansas river. But, don't get caught cutting up no crappies or trout for bait. I know a guide (used to be) that lost his liscense and is still paying off a fine just for having trout roe in his boat.
Them sturgeons must be good eating. This thread has mentioned Crappie, trout, and shrimp being used for bait. I would just as soon eat all of that stuff myself.

Thanks for the reply. We are able to use any fish we catch and use it as cut up bait here in Idaho. Trout, whitefish, perch, chubs, Pike Minnows ( which is a squaw fish that had to be change because it offended the Indians.) We are having a lot of problems with the Indians here in Idaho. There wanting to put Gill nets in the Clear water River Taditionally they never had Gill nets in that part of the River. They can snag fish at the Hatcherys where the fish enter the Hatcherys to be spawned. They have been known to go into holding pens and spesr. Salmon and Steelhead that is getting ready to be spawned bye the hatchery people.. I rest my case.
