Day-to-day I always carry a Swiss Army Adventurer and a Victorinox Classic SD Money clip. When outdoors in my pack I have a large sheath knife that I can use as a survival tool. When fishing I have a Swiss Army Ambassador that I use to clip my tippit. Plus depending on what I think I might need I have various others, Uncle Henry, cheap “throw-a-way”, a nice one that has a led light built in, even a diver’s knife I got when I first learned to dive on Okinawa.

You know as I was writing this I had to edit out a lot of knives for fear I would be perceived as a “nut case” but I do enjoy knives. I have quite a collection.

look out barnacle, you'll "age" yourself. and i bet you had knife point marks on the heel of your hand from playing mumbly peg. how long has it been?

and i carry a small case of which the new ones aren't the knife they used to be.

:rolleyes:I used to carry one that was my Dad's. It laid in a drawer for many years after he passed in 1954. One day Mom said I could have it when I was about 15 but it was a bit too big to be "legal" so I had to be selective when carrying-usually just fishing, camping, walking in the woods mushroom hunting. Not sure what brand it is but it has what looks to be a carved bone or antler handle wth silver bands near each end and 2 blades. I carry a .38 Ruger now and never take a knife to a gun fight. I also carry a small Leatherman multi-tool, the one with the scissors. Wish I would have gotten the one with the pliers instead. Next trip to Cabela's I think I will get one.

I usually carry a CRKT M-16. I need to see about getting a screw for it as one fell out and now it just sits in my tackle box.
I used to carry a Glock model 17 in 9mm and then went to the compact .40 (When I used to have a shield)

Maybe get a CCW in the future?

I fogot one thing don't try to hide a pocket knife in a national monument, I know a buddy who did it cost him $100 and now his names on file as a suspected terrorist. He also lost his buck 3 blade.

Wouldn't feel right not carrying one. I rotate between a Case 087 Texas Jack and a Yellow Mini Trapper CV. How many times have you been asked "hey you gotta knife"?

Like most of you, a knife is a big part of my wardrobe, and I can't imagine leaveing the house without one. I have carried at one time or another, most good knives,,including case, queen, uncle henry, barlow, buck, schrade.....and now am carrying a eye brand from germany...it has really good steel, holds a edge better than anything I have owned. It too will one day disappear and I will have to go to what ever is in my safe at the moment.
