OK. Got the kit today. I thought I had the big transducer, this thing is like twice the size of my old one. So I already know that the original mount will probably not work, so what mount do I need to buy. I'm assuming I'm not the first one to have this problem.

Never mind. I called HB and they are shipping out the mount. This is the only company that I know of that you can call with a problem and they send out a free 200.00 transducer, and interfence kit that I'd imagine cost 100.00 or better.
I'm a humminbird guy for good now. :rolleyes:

I got that new transducer and installed it. Even upgraded the software with the new SI functions. I have the 797. Still really not pleased with the images at all. Even sent it back to humminbird for a test. They found no problem. With the bigger transducer I loose depth at speed(25mph). It only picks up the bottom at slower speed. As far as the SI picture with the enhanced software. Hmmm still not a 1000.000 worth in my book. I use the Gps more than anything. Hate the SI
