    Default The new HB 787 screen


    Went to the store and they had a new one in so I played with it and one thing that stood out was how bright the screen was. It appeared to be twice as bright as others, at least to me. Any one else notice this?

    oops, the new 798 not 787

    Mine is bright to, especially at night. Don't know about HB ,

    However ....

    I took a Garmin and my Lowrance apart. These units have a coating on the glass screen. I believe it is an anti glare coating, maybe polarized type lens.
    Garmin and Lowrance are real bright with the lens off. FYI
