On the zip thing. What I would like is for a hand held speed controller only. I would like the button on the foot to engage the unit. When I say zip, I mean let's say I'm finished with a stump and want to quickly make way to another 30 yards away. I would hit the switch and steer with the pedal and use this majic controller to turn up the power accurately to get me there quickly. As I get closer, I'd back of the power steadily to the point where I slip up to is quietly. However, I'd also like to be able to unplug this remote and complete functionality be restored to the foot pedal including the speed control.

Keeping in mind that I have a Maxxum, is that possible?

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I will be at the Ms. fish camp (if all goes well). I can tell you then if you will take the foot control apart. That also goes for anyone with tech questions that I may be able to help resolve. That is a maybe too.......

Okey Dokey. You'll be pretty easy to spot with that paper bag over your head. Will only be two of you there. You and Pstone. But I know his boat and what he drives.

The epoxy mold has 4 main wires going to the trolling motor. There are also 3 wires going to your potentiometer and 2 sets of 2 wires going to two small lights.
The epoxy mold is very small. I wonder if you could make a hand held remote using this molded circuit?

Probably so. Just repackage what is in the foot control. I need to take a look at one.

What about the left-right, on-off functions?

4 wires to TM is probably tx/rx pair and pwr/grnd pair. That my guess without looking.

we are talking Terrova similar to V2 model right?

My foot control is a Terrova. All of the controls work off the epoxy circuit mold except the speed control and the two small indicators lights.
