Default Looking at the Terrova Power Drive V2

    Hi Guys,

Got a new boat and got to start all over with upgrading everything. The first thing will be the trolling motor. I know some people like them but the Motor Guide has got to go. I'm looking at the MinnKota Terrova with autopilot or copilot. (Terrova 80/AP/US2) Has to have the US2.

Does anyone here have one and like it? I've just started trolling crank-baits and I think the little remote would come in handy.?? What should I expect to pay and does anyone have somewhere they recommend?

By the way, the boat is a 2003 Triton TR-175 Fiberglass bass boat.

    Thanks,
    Buzz

I have that unit, and I really like it. Only prob I've had is that it seems to stick when I deploy, But I give it a little kick and it works. AP is great for trolling. Be sure and get the copilot.

Been using one since Fall of last year, love it for trolling.

Wish I had my Maxxum back when I'm spider-riggings sometimes,
(get tired of hearing the errr-errr-errr of the steering motor when
I'm sitting right on top of it and doing a lot of tight manuevering)

But I would do it again, it has made trolling so much easier.
Get the autopilot for sure, I use the copilot but the footpedal is not
bad either, the cord on it is long enough to reach the back of my boat.

    You will LOVE that unit!

    I have a powerdrive V2 with autopilot and co-pilot.

The autopilot is a must have for a crappie fisherman in my humble opinion.

The co-pilot is a very nice accessory as well but one you could do without if you had to.

    Default Terrova

Seems like everyone is happy with this unit. Now I just gotta find a good deal on one. They are opening up a new Bass Pro just down the street next month. I may wait and see it they open up with a big sale. Next I'll have to pick up another 997 and a 787 for the front along with an interlink box.

J and H Products has the best prices on electronics and trolling motors I have found. Their service is real good also.

Would not be without mine.. And the remote works great, But in the back of my 18ft boat. If someone is between me and the motor. I have to lean over to get it to work.
But still would not be without it.

I have the same problem. Thought it might be the battery---guess its just the range of the control.

I have used J&H and like them very much.

I have also found that Anchor Express beats their prices on some things and they are easy to deal with as well

If you are going to troll you can't beat them. If you are going to fish brush tops or mats and move around alot and have to pick-up TM 20 or 30 times a day. You might want to thank about the ones that has the rope to pick them up. Just my thinking! I have both kinds.
