    Default Minn Kota CoPilot problem?

Charged all my boat batteries Friday and then turned the TM on to check it out. Copilot started beeping. Nothing worked. Disconnected copilot and direct connected and TM started working. Strange that a copilot could completely disable the TM. This is dumb. The TM should have a failsafe circuit.

Does this mean I need to change batteries in my Dick Tracy watch or have I more serious problems here? I put the manual where, I don't remember. No manual available on line from Minn Kota.

Hey Tom the manual says: Se fait entendre alors que le bouton informant est tenu enfonce sur le recepteur.

But if your like me and can't read french. It says the battery should last 2 fishing seasons. It doesn't say anything about any beeping when turned on. There are several other things that can cause different beeps. Do you keep your foot pedal plugged in? If so and it is powered up with the pedal set for constant run, you will get a 1 long and 2 short (repeated) beeps.

    This is the French interpretation:

Is made hear whereas the button informing is held inserts on the receiver.

Don't make sense to me, but the French don't either.

It wasn't in continuous position, but I will check it out next time up. I will get a battery just in case. I can't remember the beep cadence. That was 3 days ago.

Thanks Pete.I will let you know.

Let me change the battery and check the continuous position on the foot petal. I got grand kids =hemorrhoids that mess with things.

I would unplug and replug the copilot plug. Heard from one person that had the same problem. That after doing that his worked right. That or it may have lost the signal, And you need to reset it to get the codes from the remote. I bet that is is. Just push that little button on the side cover.

    Ok.

I put the manual up so I wouldn't loose it. I just can't remember where I put it.
