    Default Repairing Autopilot

Did a little trolling last weekend and my autopilot kept spinnng so much that I had to cut it off eventually....What's your thoughts on getting it fixed? It's an older model but I don't know how old (on the boat when I bought it)...I can tell you that it's a riptide that is black and is the only one I've seen like it....

A common cause for that is the shaft is not within 5° of verticle. If that is good it may just need re-calibrated. If you are handy with a multimeter, I have the instructions for doing that somewhere.

I've had this boat for several years and it hasn't given me this type of trouble so I wouldn't think it was a problem with it being vertical....I'd love the instructiions on recalibrating it if you think that would solve the issue and I not fry my motor.....
