    Default 787 problems

We have a 997 on console and a 787 up front interlinked toegater. 997 works fine but then 787 when we get in water shallower than 12 deep sometimes it shows almost a thermocline with fishin it. This has only happened at KY Lake. Is it from gravel bottoms or what?

I've not experienced that problem with mine....but my unit is console mounted with a shoot thru hull transducer.

I'd call Humminbird about it.....they are very good about helping with troubleshooting. Could be adjusted through the sensitivity.

I tried adjusting sensitivity. I really think it the bottom cause it is not always there.

It has a definite solid line at 7 ft with fish in the line and depth shows 25+ and i know its 12' but it will jump right back to correct readings when i get off those certain spots.

You may want to try adjusting the surface clutter.
