    Default Humminbird question

Just purchased a 997 Humminbird but the problem I have is the plotter is useless where I fish. I had a garmn unit before and downloaded the Mapsource topo map and had a map of everything. Humminbird only uses Navionics charts and they don't offer a map of my fishing area. Any of you gurus (sp) know if there is a way to make the 997 accept the Mapsource?

Reason being, we'll be down at the end of june and was wondering if the fish are still biting. I was looking for something to do (crappie fish) while i was down with someone.

DTG the lower end of the delta is about 50 miles from OB and runs north another 50 or so miles. In June the crappie bite will be slow but the bream should be on.

no its not. they don't have a map for that area. I called and they said they didn't have a map for that area. The waypoints I have downloaded for that area are on a blank screen.
