Wasn't for the SI. It wouldn't be on my boat. I will just keep my Lowrance and Garmin for the time being. I know good equipment. I believe I am qualified to made this assessment.

Just saying what little I no about my unit thats all not claiming to be a expert.:rolleyes: With your expertise I would think you could add a $2.00 switch and cut and solder a wire or two to a PC cable and make your lap top the screen for your 797 so you could see it.LOL But thats all it could do is be used as a monitor. Or just go and spend the money for that 1197 you want so bad.
You need to remember you ant getting any younger and you can't take the money with you.:D Life is short!!!
