Thread: 24v charging

Your batteries should now be connected like this: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showthread.php?t=48674 (the first drawing showing 2 batteries connected in series). With one charger they MUST be charged seperately. You do not have to disconnect them while charging.

IBFISHIN is right.....I had this problem when I bought my new boat with a 24 volt TM. I ended up buying a three bank charger since using my old 12 volt charger was a pain to use moving it from battery to battery.

As JetBoy did, I too bought a 3 bank 30 amp onboard charger.Best investment for the boat I have made.(and I have made a bunch, just ask the Mrs.)Automatically charges all 3, shuts down when done,then kicks back on if batteries lose a little charge for whatever reason. No chance to overcharge and burn a battery up. Just plug it in when you get home and unplug when your'e ready to fish again.J.M.O. Good Fishin..

You dont have to unscrew and take the wires off before charging? It is ok to put the clamps on the battereies and charge?

Leave the wires on, clamp to a battery and go.
