I just mounted a Lowrance 520c at the console and moved the Lowrance x37 from the console to the trolling motor! I guess it is personal preferance. I would want the best one for when I was riding and looking for cover and such.

Assuming that you have two depth finders on your boat. How many puts the more expensive and better one on the front at the trolling motor?
My situation is this, I have a 200DX Humminbird already mounted at the steering wheel. That is a pretty good depth finder...works well. I ordered a Humminbird 565 last week. Do I have a good argument to move the 200DX to the trolling motor and mount the 565 at the steering wheel? I am not the most mechanical person in the world, but would attempt it if there would be a world of difference. Thanks for any opinions.

Take your kids hunting and fishing, and you won't be hunting your kids
I'd mount the 565 on the trolling motor. I have the better unit mounted on my trolling motor cause thats where I do most of my fishing from. Just my 2 cents

When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
I have a Garmin 178C on the console, and a HB997, that I use on the console for side scanning, and move to the bow when using the trolling motor. I really like the big screen.
Ive always put my best finder on the trolling motor as long as your console is a decent finder. If something catches my eye when Im at the console, I look at it while im up front fishing with the trolling motor.
