    Thumbs up the wife

    Okay, this is Bait Eating's wife. I feel I am getting slammed here and need to clear this up. I am the one that told him to buy the 797 in the first place. I didn't know how much it cost and still don't. Then when he brought it home, I told him he should have bought the 997, because I new he would not be happy with the smaller screen because he is used to the Lowrance X15. I don't care what that stuff cost. This is why we have been married 27 1/2 years and still get along. He doesn't say no to me and I don't ask what the toys cost. Besides, I LOVE TO FISH TOO. (well sometimes I ask, if it involves large monthly payments!!!)
    Anyway, glad I could add to the conversation and be part of your little "clubhouse".

    I don't fish in the cold weather, but I can't wait to get out and see the thing in action.

    Nah I don't really think no one is trying to slam you. Guy humor just a a little rougher than gal humor. It is great when my wife goes with me. Although its usually a little later in the day. She's never took any pleasure in watching sunrise on the lake. She is of the opinion that the fish will wait on her. As lucky as she is who am I to argue.

    Actually, I can take a joke. Bait Eating is a big joker.

    Just to clear all this up. I was not mad at him. I did tell him to buy anything and then sent him back for the 997. I do like to fish and go often so I think I will get a kick out of the new toy also.

    Mrs .... We were just having fun along with you. Congratulations on the new deep meter . I got a 797 Friday and even walked straight in the house with it.
