I didn't know how much it cost and still don't. Then when he brought it home, I told him he should have bought the 997, because I new he would not be happy with the smaller screen because he is used to the Lowrance X15. Nah I don't really think no one is trying to slam you. Guy humor just a a little rougher than gal humor. It is great when my wife goes with me. Although its usually a little later in the day. She's never took any pleasure in watching sunrise on the lake. She is of the opinion that the fish will wait on her. As lucky as she is who am I to argue.

Just to clear all this up. I was not mad at him. I did tell him to buy anything and then sent him back for the 997. I do like to fish and go often so I think I will get a kick out of the new toy also.
