I've got a set of them and I only get the center row of lights for running lights then it all lights up for turning and brakeing. I also unplug mine before backing the trailer in the water but I have always done that. They are very bright and I've had mine for a year with no problems.

i've had led lights on mine for a few years now. the center row lights up for tail and running, and the row above and below light up for brake. i have never disconnected mine before launching and have not had a problem.

i swapped all of my trailer lights out to leds because the old type were unreliable, i have not had 1 ounce of trouble since.

I tried the Wally world brand and they literally fell apart. I'll get the better ones when I need lights again. I never unplug mine and do not have problems.

LED means light emitting diode 3 is plenty and you dont have to unplug them, we have frozen them w/ power connected and they still work

Had them on my boat trailer for 5 years. And never unplug them. As they do not build up heat like the old bulbs did.
New boat trailer is coming with all LED's on it.
