I use to run 2 LCX17M plus my 997 at the same time with no issues. I sold off my LCX17M's & LowranceNet. I went with a nice 787 for trolling motor. The HB has wider beams which is very helpful to find structure. My LCX's 20 degree beams were just too narrow for me.

Smile Help on buying new HB

I am getting ready to buy an HB 575 or 737 and want to hook up my Garmin 72 to it. I have lots of great crappie and grouper waypoints on the Garmin. I am fortunate to be retired on the Harris Chain in Central florida and also fish Homosassa bay. Will this work andy suggestions. should I go for color? I think the only bad reports on HB are the retail guys trying to sell somthing else.

WELL….. I just bought the HB 997. The first thing I did was call tech. support. Took two minutes and got my questions answered. They have software to convert other units way points to theirs.. Nice... You do have to regester your unit first. I also called Lowrance about my unit they have, 1.5 hours on hold, they’ve had it for 26 days and they still don’t know when I will get it back

My 797 is entertaining. Look at the bright side of owning one. When you go fishing and don't catch anything, you can say: Oh! I was just out mapping. That is lots better than saying they weren't biting. Who is to doubt you? It is definitely a good $2000.00 alibi.
