In a normal days fishing, he's only run out of battery one time in the past year of use with his set-up. He advised me to go with a 30Ah battery when I bought my set up. I'm still using a standard lead acid battery for now but this spring I plan on getting the 50Ah battery because I may add a 2nd Garmin unit to my set up in the future.
Yeah, I think I should get a lot more time than that with the battery fully charged.

When I got it I hooked it up to the charger and the guage was solid up to the 75% mark & blinking on and off in the 75-100% mark. Not being familiar with the charger, I thought it was telling me it was charged and in maintenence mode ... but after putting it back on the charger that night & leaving it, realized the guage would be solid all the way up & not blinking when fully charged and maintenence mode is shown by the input voltage being down to like 0.XX volts & output at 14.XX volts.

My Minn-Kota onboard will tell me my lead acid battery is "charged" .... then I put the ECO-Worthy charger on it and it tells me it's not quite fully charged. Being as the E-W charger is a "smart" charger and the MK is not digital, I'm leaning towards believing the E-W charger over the Minn-Kota.

I'm just an old Gewber that learns more from my mistakes than from reading the instructions ...
