    Default Humminbird settings

Just bought a Humminbird Helix Mega 9. Can anyone give some tips or settings to get started with. I've never owned anything like this and want to use it mainly to find brushpiles.

General settings for the Mega SI units ...

Use 800kHz and/or 1200kHz for seeing detail of objects close to the boat ...
Use 455kHz for seeing objects farther away from the boat ...

Adjust SI Sensitivity often as the screen gets brighter and darker as environmental conditions change ...

It's important to match Chart speed to boat speed for the best images ...

Most other settings will work fine at default ...

I used mine for the first time yesterday. SI was great out of the box, I keep the range around 50_60 per side. Di I'm going to have to play with some settings, never could get the image quality that I was wanting. If anyone has any tips on Di it would be great.
